Welcome Jeremy Luby to the TalkToTheManager Team

Jeremy Luby

I'm pleased to announce that Jeremy Luby has joined TalkToTheManager as our Director of Business Development. Even though he has only been working on TalkToTheManager for a little more than two weeks, Jeremy has already contributed greatly to the culture and direction of the company. His enthusiasm, bold business/marketing ideas, and initiative are helping to drive TTTM to the next level and beyond.

Being a startup gives you the opportunity to work on something new everyday, and that really piques my interest and keeps me thirsting for new knowledge.

Jeremy was born and raised in the Seattle area, and then moved to Los Angeles when he turned 18. While there, he spent several years working in sales, customer service, and training. At 24, he moved back to Seattle and enrolled in the business school at University of Washington (UW). Only a week ago he graduated from the Foster School of Business with a degree in Entrepreneurship and a concentration in marketing (with a particular interest in branding). During his years at UW, Jeremy has been an ambassador to NWEN (the Northwest Entrepreneur Network), intern at the Founder Institute, and Venture Associate at UW's new venture capital fund, the W Fund. He's been spending a lot of time in he startup community learning the ins and outs from both the entrepreneur's and investor's sides.

I believe people never stop learning, and working at a startup is the best place to meet new people that always have something to teach you.

When Jeremy isn't networking or hitting the books, he's enjoying the leisure benefits of the Seattle area. He's an avid soccer fan. And in Seattle, that means the Seattle Sounders ("FANATICAL - Sounders 'til I die!"). If he's watching TV, there's an 80% chance it's a soccer match. It's also not uncommon to find him working on his laptop at the local pub. Jeremy gets out into the surrounding green of the Pacific Northwest, too. He's an outdoorsman who loves camping, fishing, and hiking. He once spent 17 days and 16 nights camping on Mt. Hood!

I measure success by the amount of happiness in my life, and I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky guy.

On a more personal note (cue the soft piano music), Jeremy believes in "old school" morals and values, and the power of a handshake over a beer. To Jeremy, meeting new people is what life is all about. He loves to chat about life experiences and business ideas.
