FSTEC 2013

FSTEC NexGen 2013

The Foodservice Technology Conference & Showcase being held this year at the Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale Arizona was founded in 1996. In 2013 it is the longest running tech showcase, is going stronger than ever and recognized as the restaurant industry's leading technology event. It will host big name keynote speakers, such as this year's Robert Irvine.

FSTEC has become renowned for being influential not only to the IT professional, but also the Finance, HR, Operations and Marketing professionals who both make decisions and influence decisions. Through its many years FSTEC has transitioned into a more intimate gathering for industry professionals to network, learn and see the newest foodservice technologies at the innovation showcase. This format has proved to be a great way for attendees to learn about the newest trends and take them back to their companies and apply them to their work daily. This format has also allowed the show to grow by more than double from one year to the next.

"We've traded the stiff, traditional trade show format for a stimulating and fun program perfect for a hot spot like Scottsdale. Leave your suits and ties at home and enjoy the casual comfort of an inclusive meeting focused on the very latest in foodservice technology."

From everyone in the industry that we've talked to, it sounds like there's a lot of excitement buzzing around this years event and the awesome lineup of speakers, panel sessions, and intimate setting of exhibits (which we're excited to be a part of!).

Sessions this year will include topics such as: Digital Wallet, Drive-Thru, Cloud, Workforce Management, Payment, Front of House, Franchisee, IT Resourcing, Online Ordering, and more. The topic of franchises is always a popular topic as people within the foodservice industry are always wondering how the franchisee vs. franchisor relationship works. There's the good and the bad and FSTEC's speakers (David Reid, Popeyes; Kendall Peterson, Subway; Al Bhakta, Genghis Grill; Peter Romen, CSP Business Media) will discuss exactly how that relationship stays intact throughout the years.

All in all this will be a great networking event where industry friends across the country will come together to say hello, make new friends, share stories and ideas, and help continue to improve the food service industry. We here at TalkToTheManager couldn't be more excited to be a part of it this year. So look out FSTEC, here we come! See you all in Arizona in a few days!
