A Boatload of Important Changes at TalkToTheManager

New Pricing

After a deeper analysis of costs, and in an effort to simplify our pricing details, we've increased the price to $29 per month per location. Messages are now unlimited. So no more "500 messages included, 1.5 cents every message over that". Simple, straight pricing with no asterisk (*) after it. Plus, it allows us to stay in business for the long haul.

Current Customers Keep their Low Price

We wouldn't want to mess up the good thing we have going here, so current customers are grandfathered in on their pricing they signed up with. Consider it a "founder's discount" for giving us a chance when we were young and just starting out.

Monthly Invoices and Printer-Friendly Invoices

In order to better help you with tracking your business expenses, we now send a paid invoice to your email box every month after your account's card is charged. Also, for those who need to send in TalkToTheManager invoices for expense reimbursement, you can print out a printer-friendly version of both upcoming and paid invoices. This request came from a customer, and we made it happen!

Locations, not Establishments

We've changed the wording from "establishment" to "location" throughout the site, and within the management console. Location just sounds more natural when you're talking about businesses, and specifically different locations of the same business.

Please Respect the Rules

It's nice to be nice

We've updated our Terms of Service (see section 4, the "Be Nice" clause) to explicitly urge that customers not use the service at multiple locations using the same TalkToTheManager phone number. Our costs just cannot support that. In order to make the new pricing work, if you have multiple locations for your business, please add the other locations to your account. Each gets their own number, and each can have its own management contact list.

There is even more that has been done over the last week to improve the site. But these changes were subtle and numerous. So even though you may not notice, they were made to simplify our service and make it more efficient.
