Improved Account Management

We recently made great improvements to help you simplify account management at TalkToTheManager.

There are three aspects of your account that we've simplified:

  • locations
  • managers
  • manager permissions

These three aspects work together like this:

  • A manager can be assigned to a location so they will receive messages from that location's assigned phone number
  • At that location, the manager can be granted the location admin permission (able to add/remove managers for the location) or left as a regular manager that can only receive and respond to messages.
  • A manager can be also made an account admin, meaning they have complete control over the entire account (billing, adding/removing locations, user management, etc)

To manage all of this, we reorganized the menus on the left, as well as added new views of who is assigned where, and what permission they have.

An account admin will see more menu items than a location admin or a regular manager:

We moved all the manager and locations listings from the separate Account menu and moved them all together into one menu. We also moved Billing into it (not pictured).

Location Settings shows all the menu options for the currently selected location. You can change it in the location dropdown.

We'll just let you scroll through the screenshots and take a look.

Clicking on Locations gives you a listing of all the locations and their numbers, addresses, assigned managers and their permissions.

The managers list shows the entire list of managers on the account, where they are assigned, and what permissions they have.

The listing of managers under Location Settings > Managers shows who is assigned at the location and their permissions.

When you click on a Manager's name, you'll see where they are assigned and if they are a location admin, which you can change.
